Update v0.3.3!


Hey there!

Been a while since we've made any noise so thought it was about time we made an update! We've showcased Close to Flight off at Barclays Game Frenzy in London, and at GaMaYo in Wakefield and have had so many amazing interactions and feedbacks! Thanks to everyone who dropped by and helped us get this project so far! So lets get into the fun stuff!

New Stuff:

  • Brand new Character!
  • Water Physics
  • Cloth physics
  • New UIs
  • Added a few more checkpoints
  • Some secrets...

Alterations:

  • Level has been shortened
  • Level is more streamlined, but remains openly approachable
  • The grappling hook system has been tighten!
  • Textures updated
  • Updated Engine and utilities (you probably won't/shouldn't notice)
  • Removed save file system (for now, it will come back later)

Bug Fixes:

  • Swinging now ensures a double jump after releasing the hook(Not jumping out of it!)
  • Foliage will no longer obscure the camera when aiming up
  • Fallzone will no longer consume your 2nd jump
  • NPC's are interactable again
  • You will no longer throw the hook when quick hook is selected
  • Removed rogue foliage
  • Swimming with the fishing line will no longer rocket boost you across the world
  • Wandering villagers are wondering again!


There are some more changes, but Storm lost the notes during breakfast (probably ate it alongside). We really appreciate you all sticking around and really hope you enjoy the game with each update!
